The Challenge
The Belonging Co’s Film Team set out to create a visually stunning, emotionally compelling film to promote their annual kids summer camp. The story centered around Cadence, a young girl reflecting on her experience at camp with her two brothers. The team’s vision was clear: a bold, cinematic short film that would inspire families and fill camp registrations.
Our Approach
Brandon joined TBCo’s Film Team for this multi-day production, serving as a gaffer and supporting key crew members including the DP, producer, lead gaffer, and 1st AC. From rigging lights and shaping scenes to crafting safe, intentional set environments, Brandon played a pivotal behind-the-scenes role. He also produced a polished behind-the-scenes teaser video and took lead on securing nearly half a million dollars of gear post-wrap each day—helping ensure smooth, professional execution from start to finish.
The Outcome
The finished film was met with awe. During its debut at church, the sanctuary went silent—followed by a roar of applause and emotion. The video quickly fulfilled its purpose, sparking massive enthusiasm and driving record-breaking camp sign-ups. It also elevated the profile of TBCo’s Film Team and highlighted the power of visual storytelling in mission-driven work.
